Job duties

My job will require me to manage an assigned territory to achieve or surpass revenue targets. I will also be required to find desirable revenue opportunities and present to other business units for necessary support. I will also be required to continue the development of technical product skills to effectively sell a wide breadth of Molex offerings.

Purdue classes that helped Claudia prepare for her job

  • COM 318: Principles of Persuasion
  • ECET 460: Project Design and Development
  • OLS 284: Leadership Principles
  • ECET 381: Global Professional Issues in Electrical Engineering Technology

Other ways the College of Technology and/or Purdue provided preparation and assistance

The College of Technology helped provide me with assistance for this job by offering a variety of clubs to join. The Minority Technology Association was the most beneficial in my preparation. We hosted a variety of events that called for presenting and selling the college. This allowed me to improve my speaking skills as well as my social skills.

Thanks go to:

I would like to thank Professor Michael Jacob. He had the hardest and most time-consuming courses. Although they were hard, I definitely learned the most from his classes. He personally believed in me when I did not believe in myself, and he made sure that I never quit. I truly believe I would not have made it if it had not been for his tough love; I also would not be as prepared academically and professionally as I am.
