Students who will be the first generation in their families to attend college and those from groups underrepresented in the sciences are especially encouraged to apply! We are not necessarily looking for top students and also recognize that some students may still have not identified science as an interest.
Science First
For students completing grades 7-9
*Four-week science and nature program
*Explore the garden’s 385 acres of wonder
*Meet other students from around the city
*Transportation and lunch is provided
Due April 17, 2015.
College First
For Students completing grades 10 or 11
*Eight-week paid internship program
*Work in horticulture, education, plant research and more
*Opportunity to earn college credit
*Visit college campuses during school years monthly meetings
*Transportation is provided
