The Chicago State University gymnasium was packed with fans from Whitney Young and Simeon High Schools on last Monday night as two of the best schools battled it out on the basketball court.
At one point in the game Simeon lead by many points but Whitney Young fired back and held the lead. It was a roller coaster for a while. The game went into overtime but during the next four minutes, Whitney Young took the game from Simeon and beat them 70 to 64.
By winning the IHSA 2018 Boys Basketball Class 4A, Whitney Young holds the title of Super-Sectional Champions and get to travel downstate to play in the next level tournaments. Congratulations on your success thus far and good luck. Remember you are all champions.
