I was scrolling through some old photos of mine, when I noticed this one photo that I shot last year doing the riot out at Ford City Shopping Mall. The photo speaks for itself, it is so sad that our youth have gone astray, and what’s even more sad is, the parents have allowed it. I have personally seen with my own eyes the effect a parent has on a child when they are always getting high. Maybe some one forgot to tell these youngsters that what they do on the streets is a reflection on what they are doing at home. My mother was what many would call a helicopter parent. She made sure that we, meaning me and my sister would eat right at home before we went out in public. I am glad I came up in the time zone I did. Some adults whom are professionals, but was raised in the streets get highly offended, when I talk about how I was raised. The children aren’t the real problem, it’s these overgrown children that’s the problem. I never wanted to get stoned off of that crap, it kills you in the long run. Today’s youth just like some of my generation don’t want to listen, they know it all. Well why can’t they stop this madness that they are doing to themselves and others around them sense they know so much. I really think that some of these kids get a thrill out of doing what they are doing, and it’s only until they get caught that they cry “I didn’t have a father in the house hold. ” Okay a lot of us didn’t, we didn’t go out and kill no one or rob no one, we didn’t get everything we wanted or saw either. I just have to talk about this and share this with you all because we have the solution to stopping this violence right in front of us today. There is no heaven for your home boy or girl if they were out there doing wrong to others. It’s time for our people to wake up and look alive and shape it up.
