Pre-Covid

There was a slow rise in CAR JACKING not just here in Chicago, but all over the United States. Yet the rise of carjacking particularly here in Chicago has risen substantially during this season of the pandemic. During one of our prayer devotions, I asked if there was a way to defend myself against such an attack. The answer I received was…to buy two Skillets (cast iron) and keep them in the car.

Drivers side and passenger side for my wife’s safety. It made sense, due to the fact, during my tenure at Brinks armored truck company, my bullet proof vest had a cast iron plate made into it. So whether  I’m on the expressway, or at a location where the likelihood of a C.J. may take place, I have a sense of recourse to defend against an attack. Also, while outside your vehicle carrying a Skillet in a laptop case makes for an ideal way of defending yourself provided that you wear it somewhat in the front of your torso. My skillet while driving is either in my lap or on the floor for quick access.

Stay safe this summer… from Mr. Covid, and Mr. Perpetrator. end of article.
