TINLEY PARK, IL — A popular local pizzeria did their part in supporting first responders in Tinley Park when the coronavirus pandemic began more than a month ago. The staff at Salina’s Pizza & Catering delivered pizza meals to the fire crews at all stations in the village on March 26.”Salina’s is proud to serve and support our Tinley Park fire department for all they do to help keep us safe,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook last week.

Salina was thanked in an official letter from Tinley Park Fire Chief Forest Reeder.

“The pizza assortment that you delivered to all our stations were a delicious treat,” Reeder wrote. “Our shift personnel enjoyed every bite and it provided us another opportunity to be proud of the community we serve.

Salina’s, 7551 W. 175th St. in Tinley Park remains open for takeout and delivery during the crisis. Their hours are Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
