November ends and December begins with some of the best athletes Chicago has to offer. Some of Chicago top high school basketball teams participated in the 7th Annual Elite Classic at the new Wintrust Arena by McCormick place. The Arena was packed and the crowd was going wild as their favorite teams battled it out on the court. Bogan high School put on a show and beat Dominican high school 72 to 47.

Morgan Park high also put on a show but couldn’t defeat Vashon high school from Missouri. The final score was Vashon 75 Morgan Park Mustangs 62.  Whitney Young also did their thing on the basketball court and had the crowd on its feet going wild. They beat Mater Dei Santa Ana, CA 67 to 61. Simeon gave the crowd a good show, at one time the game went into overtime but in the end, one team would win and one would lose. Simeon lost to St. Vincent-St. Mary of  Akron Ohio, the score was 61-58

Orr also got beat by Sunrise Christian Academy. Their final score was 71-46.  Orr boys varsity team gave it their all but just couldn’t pull off a win. Uplift lost it’s game also to Evanston Township. Their final score was 80-64. What a game,  as both teams battled it out before a packed arena.
