No matter how wrong a person may be in the choices they make, when tragedy occurs the first thing they say is “Oh My God.”  Why is it so easy to call on the name of the Lord when in need, but have excuses when it’s time to serve him? Many feel their reasons are legit; I don’t have to go to church to praise God, God knows my heart, you can’t judge me, I have to do what I have to do, I only have one life to live, and the list goes on.

No matter what is going on in life, it may seem as if all we need to do is wake up and make a choice to do what’s on the “To Do List”. We’ll never wake ourselves up; it’s not the alarm or another person. It is the Grace of God that we have another opportunity to develop a true relationship with Him. Why do many people feel as if everything they do in life it is them that is doing it? Our Lord is not a pond on a chess board. It is important to know who he truly is. How do you come to know him unless you establish a personal relationship with him? It is so important to know that the time is coming when our Lord and Savior is going to return and that we must make a wise decision on where we are going to spend eternity.

It is not about us just being good people but that we are obedient to his word, way, and his will. Many believe as long as they do not steal or kill that they are good people. Well God said in his word that he does not have any respect of persons, what does that mean? No matter what, sin is sin; there is no sin any greater or less than the other. When you are out of the will of God you are against him. When we come to the realization that there is a higher power that is in control of everything, then we can change our way of thinking and doing. Our lives can and will change according to Gods’ word if we learn to apply his eternal plan to our moral lives. As soon as we allow Gods’ plan to intercede in our lives, then we can began to prosper in whatever facet of life we may encounter.
