In today’s world, people are often judged according to gender, race, social status, education, political views, or personal affiliations. Society frequently creates categories that divide people and influence how behavior is evaluated. Unfortunately, these divisions can also find their way into our homes, assemblies, and personal relationships.
However, the Word of Yah presents a different standard.
Yah does not judge according to popularity, position, gender, or appearance. He judges according to righteousness, truth, and obedience. As believers, we are called to align our judgments with His standards rather than the ever-changing opinions of society.
The Apostle Paul makes this truth clear:
“For there is no respect of persons with God.” (Romans 2:11, KJV)
This powerful verse destroys every excuse for favoritism. Yah does not excuse sin because it is committed by a man, nor does He overlook wrongdoing because it is committed by a woman. His standard remains the same for everyone.
Yah Does Not Show Partiality
One of the greatest dangers facing believers today is selective accountability. We often find ourselves excusing wrongdoing when it comes from someone we love, support, or identify with, while harshly condemning the same behavior when it comes from someone else.
The Scriptures teach otherwise.
Acts 10:34-35 declares that Yah is “no respecter of persons.” Likewise, Deuteronomy 10:17 reminds us that Yah does not regard persons or show favoritism.
Righteous judgment requires consistency. If a behavior is sinful for one person, it remains sinful for another. Truth does not change based on who commits the act.
Before correcting others, we should ask ourselves an important question: Am I excusing behavior because of who committed it?
Sin Has No Gender
Much of today’s culture encourages people to view sin through the lens of identity. Yet Scripture teaches that sin is universal.
Romans 3:23 states:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Ecclesiastes 7:20 further reminds us:
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”
Sin is not male.
Sin is not female.
Sin is sin.
Men can lie.
Women can lie.
Men can neglect responsibilities.
Women can neglect responsibilities.
The issue is not gender, it is righteousness.
When evaluating behavior, we must learn to remove personal biases and examine actions according to Yah’s Word. The question should never be, “Who did it?” The question should be, “Was it righteous?”
Titus Teaches Both Men and Women
One of the most misunderstood passages concerning responsibility is Titus chapter 2.
Many teachings focus almost exclusively on the instructions given to women while overlooking the responsibilities assigned to men. Yet Paul begins by addressing older men first.
According to Titus 2:1-2, older men are instructed to be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, sound in charity, and sound in patience.
Titus 2:3-5 then instructs older women to be holy in behavior, avoid false accusations, teach good things, and train younger women.
The lesson is clear: Yah holds everyone accountable.
Correction is not gender-specific.
Growth is not gender-specific.
Holiness is not gender-specific.
Every believer has responsibilities before Yah, and spiritual maturity requires focusing on our own obedience before criticizing the obedience of others.
The Importance of Righteous Judgment
Many people quote the phrase “Judge not” while ignoring the full counsel of Scripture.
Yahawasha instructed believers:
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24)
Leviticus 19:15 further commands:
“Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment.”
Righteous judgment is not condemnation. Rather, it is the ability to evaluate situations according to truth, Scripture, fairness, and consistency.
True righteous judgment requires:
– Facts rather than assumptions
– Scripture rather than opinions
– Fairness rather than favoritism
– Consistency rather than hypocrisy
Before forming conclusions about any situation, believers should first ask: What does the Word of Yah say?
Unity Through Righteousness
Division is one of the enemy’s most effective weapons.
Race against race.
Men against women.
Young against old.
Rich against poor.
Political party against political party.
These divisions distract people from the true issue: obedience to Yah.
Galatians 3:28 reminds believers that our identity in Messiah transcends earthly distinctions. Ephesians 4:3 calls us to maintain “the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
This does not mean ignoring sin or compromising truth. Genuine unity is not built upon agreement with each other; it is built upon agreement with Yah.
When believers pursue righteousness together, unity naturally follows.
A Call for Self-Examination
The purpose of righteous judgment is not to condemn others but to examine ourselves.
We must honestly ask:
– Have I shown favoritism?
– Have I excused behavior because of gender?
– Do I hold others to standards that I refuse to apply to myself?
– Am I judging according to emotions or according to truth?
– Am I helping create healing or contributing to division?
These questions require humility, honesty, and a willingness to submit to Yah’s correction.
