Happy Kwanza

Why restrict our way of living to specific times.  I feel we should practice and teach the principles of Kwanzaa  always.

Not sure what those principles are? Take a picture, copy, tweet..learn it, live it.

Umoja (Unity), To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race.

Kujichagulia (Self Determination), To create, name and define our lives for ourselves, instead of allowing it to be done for us by others.

Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility), To build and maintain our community while working with others to solve our problems.

Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), To build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.

Nia (Purpose), To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community.

Kuumba (Creativity), To leave our community more beneficial and beautiful than we inherited it.

Imani (Faith), To believe in our people, teachers and leaders, and the virtue and victory of our struggle.
