Jose’ N Harris once said “there comes a time in life when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. ” You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living.
I say well put Mr. Harris, I’ve been through many ups and downs my 46 years of life and I haven’t always handled the bad times quite so well. I either had people around me who did not lift me up and caused me to be discouraged. I’ve found that you can’t always share the trauma you’re experiencing in your life with certain people. If it’s something good they will say, “you can’t do it”, If it’s something bad they offer no solutions but are quick to give their opinions. Why is it that we don’t encourage each other no matter what the situation. God has allowed me to survive cancer and major depression, so I can’t be unhappy or hopeless. I have two young daughters that need positive influences in their lives and thank God for their dad who works with me to help them. I’d like to say to all the young women and men that read this article, stick with the positive and leave the negative alone. You can do and be anything that you choose in life. Just remember when times are bad, there are better days ahead, and to enjoy the rainbow you have put up with a little rain. Stay encouraged and don’t let anyone bring you down.
