Tricia E.Evanston Community Television (ECTV) Board Member Tricia Edwards an 18 year member at ECTV, has been selected from hundreds of nominees to receive the 2014 Peggy A. Montes Unsung Heroine Award.  As an annual event in observance of Women’s History Month, Cook County presents the Unsung Heroine Award to 18 women, one from each district of Cook County and one county-wide, whose contributions to their communities, families and professional endeavors have been so vital, but seldom recognized. This annual award is presented by The Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues.  The ceremony will take place at a breakfast on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Chicago Cultural Center, Preston Bradley Hall, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Edwards, who is from Cook County District #13, commissioner Trina Janes, is being recognized for the work she does, positively influencing the lives of children through her T. E. & Company theater arts non-profit organization and her production work with children at ECTV.
