For decades AFRICAN Americans have been mistreated by the police, and nothing has really been done about this treatment. During Memorial Day,  a Minneapolis police officer brutally murdered George Floyd a 46-year AFRICAN American man. The officer that kneeled on Floyd’s neck was fired along with the other three officers that participated in his murder. The primary officer has been charged with third-degree murder.

Minneapolis erupted in chaos, which has lead to a chain reaction in the United States. All the major cities have erupted with people looting, destroying property, and police cars in Chicago. Macy’s Gucci, Tiffany,  Zara, Walgreens, K Jewelry stores, Central Camera, Best Buy, and the Michael Jordan store were looted on Saturday afternoon. The chaos continued throughout the night. Four hundred people have been arrested since the looting started. At exactly 12 am on Saturday morning, Chicago went from a peaceful protest to an all-out fight with the police. A 10.1 was called over the police radio, more than two hundred people began fighting with police on State street at Harris after which Chicago officially erupted into its first major riot. Young black people are tired of being mistreated and ignored by the powers that be.

The American police manufactured this hate that they are now dealing with. America’s youth have spoken, they refuse to be ignored any more. Maybe now America will listen to her youth. They are the underserved, the mistreated poor people. Maybe now the business owners will join with the people and demand an end to this chaos.
